Hello and welcome back. We are on episode number six. We're gonna be talking about mindset shifts for lasting change. This is a topic that's so commonly left out of the hormone health conversation, but it really can be the thing that's holding you back. Let me walk you through the common limiting beliefs that I hear all the time, but more importantly, how you can reframe them so they can better serve you and help get you closer to your hormone balancing goals. So here's one that I hear constantly. I hear this all the time. Tell me if this sounds like you. But I hear gals saying something like, uh, well, I can't ever be consistent with supplements, so I just don't use them. And that may have been factually accurate in the past. But by continuing to say these types of comments and telling yourself, like reinforcing for yourself that you cannot do something, you're not helping yourself see the changes that you want to see. When you say these things or you tell yourself that you can't do something, you're only reinforcing that belief and making progress more difficult for you in the future. So, what would be more helpful? Let's try to reframe that thought to something more like I can be more consistent with supplements if I have a clear, simple plan on how to take them. So take that thought for a spin, real quick. How does that feel? Do you think that that's true? Is that something, a statement that you can genuinely get behind? Because if it is, then think about how you can reframe your beliefs to be like not just more optimistic, but still accurate and better able to serve you because you can change, you can influence what goes on in the future. Let the past be the past if it doesn't serve you. Here's another one that I want to run by you. So limiting belief number two, something like my body just doesn't work the way that it should. Like I've tried everything and nothing changes. And this is a belief that makes you a passive victim in your own health journey. Like, what if instead you believed my body is just trying to communicate with me and I'm learning to understand what it needs? Do you see the difference? One of them, the first one, really shuts down possibility. If you're saying, hey, I've tried everything, nothing helps, you know, you're you're really telling yourself like nothing's going to help. That's not serving you. On the other hand, though, the second statement opens up, opens you up to curiosity and to action. So I'll say that second reframe again so you can pause me if you need to and see how you can apply this to thoughts of your own. So here was the second one. My body is just communicating with me and I'm learning to understand what it needs. All right, let's move on to my next point, which is about accepting 100% responsibility for what happens next with your hormone health. Because whether you like it or not, you have 100% responsibility over what happens. Your decisions day to day determine your trajectory. Now, I'm not saying that you can magically fix everything overnight. That's not what I'm suggesting at all. But what I want you to take from this is that it is within your control to make change to your health, to your habits, to the way that you feel, to the way that you think about things. You have so much influence and you do have 100% responsibility. Life doesn't get harder when you acknowledge that you have 100% responsibility. It gets easier. And when you really embrace that, when you decide that you do have the responsibility and you do feel empowered to get yourself where you want to go, where you need to go, you're gonna have a much better time getting there. All right, let's talk about goal setting and how to set goals the right way. I gave the example a moment ago of um, you know, having a clear and simple plan for supplements, for example. So let's use that to talk about goal setting. Because a lot of the times we set goals and say, okay, next week I'm going to eat less sugar. That was me, like every single week in college. That's a great start, um, knowing what you want to do. But when you are setting strategic goals, setting them in the right way so that you are actually excited about what's to come, that will help you to stick to your plan so much better. So when I say that you want to be making your goals such that you are excited about what's to come, I mean that you need to keep this in mind. What is the transformation that you want to see for yourself? Like again, pause me if you need to. When you accomplish everything that you want to, when you have a regular predictable period that you barely have to think about when your skin is clear, when your bloating is gone, like how does that change life for you? Outside of good health being a good thing just for the sake of health. I want you to write that out. I want you to write it out in a note on your phone, write it down on paper, whatever best serves you. But once you have that clarity and you base your decisions for nutrition, for example, around what type of support you want to get, for example, around, you know, what time you want to go to bed each night, for example, it will make sticking to those good new habits a million times easier. Because instead of avoiding sugar for the sake of avoiding sugar, you're gonna do it because six months from now, you wanna be pregnant and carrying a healthy pregnancy or whatever that is for you. So think about the long game. I promise you, this will make a difference for you. And I really hope that it made your ears kind of perk up. I hope that you thought, okay, hell yeah, this is this is a better way for me to look at these aspects of health because it's not just about food and nutrition and sleep. Those things are important, those are foundational, but the way that you think about this transformation, that is a huge component that you have to acknowledge. This is why mindset work is a component of all of my coaching programs. We walk through the mindset piece. What are the right tools and strategies that you need? And how can we keep centered on this North Star that is your ultimate goal in order to get you there as fast as possible? So, in the next episode, we'll be talking about investment priorities that are gonna really move the needle for you. I'm gonna help you spot red flags in products and programs so you stop wasting money on things that don't work. This one is gonna save you a lot of frustration.
